We arrived at the airport of Split and headed to the Old Town. Split is the second largest city of Croatia and the largest in the region of Dalmatia. Also one of the oldest cities in the area, with the historic centre included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites.
There amid the atmospheric old walls and dozens of bars, restaurants and shops we met Janelle and Ante, with their close friends and had a lovely night, eating, drinking, laughing and getting to know everyone. We went to bed looking at the bell tower of St. Domnius and feeling blessed to be with people so kind and sweet, that have us there not only to film the wedding but truly to be a part of it and enjoy it.
The next day started with us on two boats leaving Split for a ride around the Dalmatian islands.
While the weather changed from a bright sun to dark clouds, the ride was astonishing. So many beautiful locations ,from the Blue Caves to majestic Hvar island, the whole day was an amazing experience for everyone and you could tell by all the tired but super happy faces with big smiles on our way back to Split.
On the wedding day everyone started to get ready in a beautiful villa, with Janelle looking stunning in her wedding dress. As she walked down the aisle of St. Domnius cathedral with her father, you could see Ante feeling the most happy man on earth.
The wedding party took place at Villa Dalmacija in Split, also known as Tito’s villa located in a beautiful green area close to the sea. Lovely food and amazing mood, with a traditional music band playing through dinner with a great Dj from Paris following and had everyone partying until late.
